Odalys Letter

Hi there

I got that letter too, but perhaps we're involved in the same leaseback? I'm with residence olympe in Antibes. You?

It's yet another strange one - getting the letter dated after the rent was due. Nothing surprises me anymore with Odalys!

I have the letter in English if you want it, just send me your email. I'm new to this forum and can't seem to find a way of attaching it.

I got one of these letters also.The problem is that I have'nt received any rent at all for this year!By the way,Eithne,it's not specific to your place in Antibes.I'm with Odalys in Port d'Albret.I would also be interested in a copy of the letter in English if you still have it.

The letter is from M. Mariette himself, Chairman of Odalys Vacances.

You can judge how trustworthy he is from the following extract from a publication named "La Croix" dated 14 April 2009:

"Admittedly, it is possible that in expanding, Odalys has been unable to avoid all the pitfalls, particularly when owners have not been given sufficient information in advance of certain conditions when renewing the lease. However, François Mariette guarantees that: "Of our 13,000 owners, not one of them can claim to have been paid their rent late"

This is an outrageous assertion!

We have the letter. Our leaseback is in Golfe Juan. Odalys have generally paid the rent on time

However, Odalys have made some deductions last quarter which they will not explain. The line on the statement reads "Refact no1 Foncia Tvx Facades" and "Refact no2 Foncia Tvx Facades" (Foncia manage the resort). Can anyone throw light on this?

No nothing from Villas du Lac in Port d'Albret either.I emailed them

twice in the last month,but all I've received is 2 auto replies.
