I assume we all received the minutes of the meeting held in Paris between owners and P&V. I don't recall any mention of penalty clauses if we walk away. At the last owners' meeting in the resort, someone said that when Les Houches was due for lease renewal, the members took over the management and kicked P&V out. They did not have a pool or spa, so this was easier. Our management commitee do seem to understand the issues and don't appear to be a push over. If anyone knows hard facts rather than rumours, do share! I think we are all in limbo at the moment.

Hi Kath

I also think we are in limbo.  I am concerned that if we don't like the deal and walk away from it, P&V are legally entitled to incur a penalty charge of 2 years' rent.  The more contact we have with the other owners the better.  Is there a way of encouraging other owners to liaise through this forum?  Could the management committee help do you think?

Most owners will have received the details of the April Owners Meeting from P&V. If any one hasn't I can send them a copy as an attachment to an email. The download section of the website does not work.

We have decided not to renew our lease and take full ownership...all seems to be going smoothly so far..the bailif has terminated the lease at our instruction and P&V have confirmed no penalty charged will be applied...so hopefully a straight forward hand over on the 12th December....they are not prepared to say how many have renewd their leases until this date, nor the charges for using the pool etc....but it has to be better than paying for the refurb costs....anyone else taken this option and have any more info?
