We have just paid a depoist on an MGM apartement in La Rosier.  This is off plan in the new 'Les Marmotton's complex - due for completion in Q4 this year (2016) - and will be leased back to CGH for 11 + 9 years.  We have opted for 2 weeks winter and 2 weeks summer use.

We are always keen to learn from others to identify opportunities and challenges ahead of the critical path...so, at this early stage, it would be great to hear of other experiences from MGM / CGH / La Rosiere owners.

Many thanks

Fraser

My advice would be to check you know what happens the end of the initial 11 years in terms of apartment refurbishment.  My understanding is that they will charge you quite a. large sum at the end of the first 11 years to compltely refurbish the apartment. This is what we (at Cimes Blanches La Rosiere) are being told as our 11 year leases come to an end shortly.

So a total of 20 Years! They used to be 9 or 11 years. Mine, in Tignes 1800 (Kalinda) is 18 years (11 plus 7). They didn't tell me that I would have to pay for refurb after 11 years. They said the apt would be handed back to me afer 18 years with any defects put right (implication being at their cost). The terms of my lease are set for 11 years then renegotiated for the final 7. I don't know how that will work as both parties (CGH and I ) are required by the Loi de Montagne to enter into a further lease for 7 years but what if we can't agree terms?
