A previous poster has said that his management company deducted his outstanding Co-Op fees from his rental income!
I know this is France, but is this possible?.
Obviously this can work for you and against.
On one of my developments(managed by Odalys)some french residents owe large amounts(12,000 euros in one case)for unpaid Co-Op fees!.I am sure odalys would deduct this from there rent if they could!
Does anyone know?

Co-Op fees from Rental income
2 June 2010I too am in Clos Dia in Tourettes.
It was decided at AGM where we were represented by our management company that if we are late paying the maintenance fee that they can add penalties and ultimately deduct it from our rent.
I find this appalling as this year most have not yet got our Quarter Four rent for 2009 and yet if we do not pay these annual fees we get it deducted immediately.
Only in France.
Does anyone know if this is legal. As technically the management company and the company that we pay for the maintenance are different companies???
