FrançaisI was wondering if anyone has any information about the Chalets D Arvan 2 develpoments in St Sorlin D'Arves. We have recently reserved a 2 bedroom chalet through Assetz and are visiting this weekend to view the chalet and area before proceeding further.
The management company is Odalys and I would appreciate advice from anybody who has already had dealings with them or has a leaseback on the 1st phase.
Any advice would be much appreciated

Nothing is ever guaranteed but Odalys having been my managing my appartment in Plan de la tour for over 4 years with no problems.
I beleive they are the second biggest management company managing leasebacks in France with over 50 developments.

I advice you to check how many new developments are going on there in St Sorlin d'Arves, as well as if the property will be really managed by Odalys or by a sub-contractor. Check out the ski resort information about ski lifts, future developments, infrastructures... it is important to figure that out before buying.
If there is no future plan for the ski resort, and if it is a small ski resort with several new constructions going on at the moment, the potential revenues for your management company might be limited in time and you might end up in 3 years time with a contract renewal with a decrease of your initial rent, or with a buy-out of your residence by another management company.
If there is no tourist there is no revenue...
Odalys is a serious group however his main shareholder left the group back in May this year...

They have missed January 2008 payment on a Cote Dazure leaseback.
Maybe isolated problem.
Any similar problems
