I'd like to get in touch with other owners who took out a guaranteed 9-year 4.5% lease. Most would have been for properties delivered in 2004/2005.
At an owners' meeting just before Easter this year it was announced that the original management company GPL had handed over to Eurogroup - this was completely without any owner's knowledge. Last week I received a letter saying that there had been difficulties renting properties out, so that the new operators could not afford to continue to pay our guaranteed (!) rental. They said that they were terminating the lease with effect from June 2008, 3 years into the contract, although there are rumours that a new lease may be offered at a considerably lower yield.
I am in touch with about 5 other owners so far, but the more we can get together the better. You can e-mail me at rhodes.editing(at-sign)gmail.com
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have just managed to get a complete list of owners names and addresses from our local "Centre des Impots Foncier" for a residence on the outskirts of Paris. They have not charged for this and seemed quite happy to provide the information. You will then be able to write to all the owners concerned. Good luck!

I am not 100% sure how I managed to get through to the relevant governmental department, but try the following:
http://www.impots.gouv.fr/portal/dgi/home?pageId=home&sf id=00
Click on "Contacts". "Choisissez un thème". I chose "Personnes domiciliee hors de France". "Valider"
This brings up a form for completion. Select the subject – I probably used "autre sujet". And then I sent a general question asking if it was possible to obtain the names and addresses of owners at a particular residence. I was told it was and they asked for the name of the residence. A few e-mails were exchanged between us and then my enquiry was passed through to the relevant department and within a few days the list arrived in the post (one A4 sheet for every owner!).
