I am sure you are all aware that we all co-own the common reception area. This was transferred to the co-owners after Residhotel went into adminstration. Can we use this thread to discuss possible uses of it.

This is my 1st suggestion (or actually it was a suggestion of another co-owner). We presumably would need to maintain an entrance at the lift, but that leaves a very large space over 2 floors. Having had a good look at it, I think 2 large (3 or 4 bed) apartments would be viable, with balconies at the end overlooking the piste. I'd be in favour of development where there was no cost up front i.e. builder would pay for works himself and factor in his profit accordingly from the sale. We could possibly use same builder to address crack issue.

Seamus,
The way I would see this working, is entering into a joint venture with a developer..coordinated by Nexity. With the current common area being the co owners contribution to the development..or another way of doing it would be simply to sell the common area to a developer. The first option would see us paid out upon completion and sale which is obviously more risky. I however think there are at least 2 to 3 good sized apartments to be had. I however would imagine that the crack situation needs to be fully resolved before any developer would take any investment risk on the building.
Cheers Pete
