Residence Du Parc at Montevrain

I have owned an apartment since 2004 with a leaseback via Espace 2.

Rent has been regularly paid until now, although the last six month's at the end of the year was some days late. Now the rent that was due for the period January to June 2010 has not been paid. I have contacted Espace 2. The usual contact has said rent is not being paid and it is being passed on to a director, but other than that are ignoring me and not telling me what is going on. They still seem to be happily renting out my property, having tried to make a booking via a travel web site.

I have advised them I will be taking legal action over the unpaid rent and have still not had a response, so am about to engage a lawyer.

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Further to my posting above I have today been paid the outstanding rent. Delay seems to have been down to cashflow problems, but little information has been provided. I would still be interested to hear from anyone else who deals with Espace 2 even if a different development to the one in question.

Hi there

I have also owned a leaseback flat in the Residence du Parc since 2004 and have been very impressed with the punctuality of payments from Espace 2 so far (touch a big piece of wood). I hadn't noticed any delay at all this July for the usual 6 monthly payment.

My only gripe is the constant paperwork which has sometimes felt a bit overwhelming, (although maybe that is the price to pay for the leaseback investment.) and am actually considering selling it because I hate all the form filling in French (in spite of my O level in French!) and always feel there´s something on my desk which I don´t really understand but know I have to fill in and am forever putting off.

By the way I stayed in the Residence du Parc last summer and found it great value and very handy for EuroDisney and Paris, I think it´s got a real niche and there should be no problem with it being rented out over the long term.

I have today heard from Espace 2 that the rent for the first half of 2012 is not being paid. No reason is given nor is there any indication as to when they will be paid.
