We are owners of a property in the vendee bought off-plan in 2004 (completed in July 2005). The management company were GPL but sold out to Eurogroup in '07. Unlike the majority of schemes ours does not offer a guaranteed income - merely a percentage of any letting. Also we are liable for all bills, maintenance etc. other than the weeks that are occupied by holiday tenants.
We are totally dissatisfied with the level of business that Eurogroup is putting our way and their general incompetence in handling bookings that we put to them from our own website advertising. We have reached a point where we feel it would be in our interest to cancel the contract (which apparently we can do simply by registered letter giving six months notice) and let the house ourselves via advertising and using the services of an ex-pat couple in the area for cleaning, keys etc.
Presumably we would have to repay all of the TVA that we saved on purchase? Would we be making a mistake ? As far as I can see we are paying Eurogroup a large portion of our rent for very little in return.
Any thoughts would be very welcome.
