Eurogroup have written to owners on the Domaine de Figuiere, St. Maxime demanding a 25% reduction in rent before any more rent is paid. They have not paid the quarterly rent in April and I assume will not pay again unless anyone is stupid enough to agree to this reduction.

Several owners are in the process of issuing CDPs to either get EG (or their comically named 'brand' Madame Vacances) to either pay up or get out of our apartments. From what I understand this process (post-CDP, assuming they don't pay) requires court action and is not cheap, so if there are any other owners out there please join our Facebook group, where we are sharing our progress on getting this parasitical organisation to pay up or get out.

Hi chrisr,

can you please confirm the facebook group Name to join?

I am a Domaine de Figuiere owner and struggling with

EuroGroup.

Thanks.

Good morning, I own an appartement in Domaine de Figuire in

Sainte maxime , and I just received an invoice from

EUROGroup about repairing the bay-window of my appartment.

this is a 2100 euros invoice!! Anybody received a similar

invoice? I am actually wondering how can a Large window

broke after only 8 years of construction ...these things

can hold for a life time....On top, I was there a couple of

weeks ago and didn't notice any problem.... Please share

your experiences....

I have a Eurogroup apt in Les Deux Alpes. We have just received email

stating that Eurogroup want to reduce our rents by 25% and have not

paid the last 2 quarters rent. Complete blackmail! Is there an

ombudsman/regulatory organisation in France that can support

leaseback owners in this position?

Sienna - It sounds like EG are trying the same trick in multiple developments, 25% reduction or no more money. I am not aware of an ombudsman, although there cannot be an industry where one is more needed. I think the only route is trying to issue a CDP and then court.

Raby - clearly a desperate measure to make some money. Either a holiday maker did it (and they should pay) or its a building fault which should be covered by warranty. We are still in dispute with Gerimmo/EG about the swimming pool which had to be repaired which of course the owners are being held liable for, even though we neither built nor maintain the pool. Don't pay them - hopefully this rotten company will fall into administration/liquidation before too long.

Good luck with Eurogroup. They illegally occupied Residence Olympe when our first tenant (a Monnier company) went bust and we are taking action against them for compensation. Another development has already successfully obtained compensation from them for the same thing.
