Demand for payment from Notary - Chaine

Hello All,

I completed on my apartment two years ago now, and I have just received a threatening demand from Chaine & Asociés (Notary) asking for funds that they overpaid to me. I am not the only one that have received letters demanding money (court action on non-payment) from them.

I am asking if anybody else has had similar experiences with this Notary or any others and what have you done about it. I really don't know why and what I am paying them for and wondered if they can get away with it. From my bad experience of leaseback (okay bad is an massive understatement) I can see them asking for more money as I have no confidence with the french government and this french leaseback scheme.
