I have been in touch with a number of owners and we are

trying to put something together.

All email addresses and phone numbers will be protected.

Strenght in numbers, the more the better and the sooner the

better.

We have around 12 so far.

I've discovered how you get a full list of owners (plus

addresses, which is very very important). You write to

your Syndic - this is the body that sends you accounts

and invites you to an AGM each year. I understand from

another forum (link here)

I have been made aware of this Forum through my buddy 'tall steve' who has been keeping me in the loop while I was away. I recieved 'Avis de declaration de creance' this morning and will be filing within the next week. Also suprised to recieve a cheque from Soderev !! but only for 41.11 Euro relating to a date 30/9/2012.


I am definatly interested in any group/forum or action for Les Clos Des Vignes so please add me to the list of interested parties.

We too have a property in Le Clos Des Vignes and are very interesed to kee abreast of the developments there. It is great to have a forum like this to work together - suddenly feeling that we are very vulnerable in this situation.

There's no way I can get to a meeting. And my French isn't up to it anyway.


Is it worth getting a representative?


I've had a worrying letter from our accountants, they could have 8 years to repay the arrears, which isn't so bad provided provided we aren't liable for tax in the meantime!!!! Or VAT!!

Yes, it's honestly not a problem. My list arrived this morning, with a complete schedule of addresses. Most Syndics now know that they are legally obliged to provide co-owners with contact details for their fellow owners.


I was having a real issue trying to track owners down. I started going through the people we knew, and then they might know some others and so on, but we ended up with a closed circle. I even started trying to track people down through Linked in and Facebook. But if I'd asked the right organisation (the Syndic) rather than the wrong one (Lagrange) it could have been a whole lot easier. I must have wasted hours, literally.

Hi Sarah,

I read that piece in that link and my understanding is that the only way

to get the list is to request the feuille de presence from the meeting of

the co propritaires. This will have the names and addresses of those

who were there. But will it include owners like myself who do not attend

those meetings?

Hi I have just joined this forum-we have not received any

rent for the last quarter and a friend in the UK (alos an

owner)has told me that they got a letter saying Soderev are

in some sort of "administration". We havent heard anything.

Does anyone know what is happening? thanks JDGD

Just received my letter from Soderev this morning. Very concerning particular the 'fact' that we could incur the cost of VAT if we aren't in the leaseback system. The whole matter has ben completely out of our control and the idea that our properties are still being rented out and we may not see any rental income for sometime sticks in the throat to say the least. I'm keen to join up with anyone else to see what can be done. as a matter of interest does anyone know what the apartments (2 bed) are rented out for in peak season for 1 week?

I would think that because you are the owner of the property, you are

liable to pay the Property tax, irrespective of the income you receive

from the property.

I have an apartment also in Clos des Vignes. does anyone know if we can refuse to pay the property tax or lobby the French Tax Office as a result of reduced rents or perhaps no rental income at all?

Hi, we've just had a letter from Soderev... :(


we've a fair few years left on the mortgage! No idea what will happen. Presumably the (french) bank will be aware of the situation.


I'm also concerned about the VAT situation.

Hello, i have a villa at clos des vignes and worried by letter from Soderev i received yesterday. does it mean postponed payments or reduced or are they going bust?


I have 2 other property owners there , 1 villa and 1 apartment who are close freinds of mine, 1 living in uk other in Dubai.


We are due our quarterly payments now i believe.

Read the two threads Lagrange/Soderev and you will get a good

picture. Lagrange are in sauvegarde. Although today's letter states

rents will be paid "prorata temporis" I personally don't expect much. We

are trying to set up a group to lobby Lagrange and get the best

outcome possible. You can pm me your details for the owners
