I have had a leaseback (Les Valmonts de Val Cenis) for the last 3 years and everything has been working out fine.... until last month.
I did not receive my rent for the first time... it was due on 15th April and I have still not yet received it. Our tenant is residhotel (Rhode Tourisme). Has anyone else had any problems receiveing rent from this company?
Either it is a coincidence (which I don't believe) or there is something afoot. The missing rent is the first that was to have included the 3 yearly increase (linked to INSEE).
We received a letter 2 weeks after the rent was due stating that it had been an excellent winter, lots of competition for appartments, competitive pricing, cash flow issues blah blah blah... I am concerned that resid hotel are playing a game to try and break out from the lease. Does anyone have other experiences of this sort of thing?

20 Mai 2008Apparently they do have problems at Les Cristallines in Orcieres. Please post a comment on http://groups.google.com/group/Invest-RT or ask the administrator to post a request.
You can also sign the petition/protest, which will be handed over to the French Government in a couple of months: http://www.petitiononline.com/131007/petition.html
Don't stay alone, try to find out other owners and try to contact the ones in your Residence de Tourisme.
